Saturday night and Sunday morning

I haven't done this blog thing for awhile. I remember playing with blogging software when friends in Silicon Valley would say "what's a blog"? I was so much older then. (I am younger than that now - no one listens to Cat Stevens post 9/11 so I it sounds surprising un-cliched).

Martini's help the creative process and I can tell this enterprise is going to need help from Bacchus and his juniper berry. To be honest I don't really have anything interesting to write about - and neither do most other people in the blogosphere. Surfing blogs is a bit like sleepwalking through a bar in some sleepy suburb in New Jersey wondering if you might meet an interesting axe murderer with a penchant for Hemingway. Mostly you meet boring gits and their girlfriends desperate to convince you they lead interesting lives. And when you meet the axe murderer it is a bit of a let down (I did meet someone in a New Jersey bar who claimed to have killed someone. She had bad breath).

So why I am I doing this blog thing again? I am about to ride a big plane. This is the coolest launch party I've been to since someone invited the artist formerly known as Prince (although back then I think he did go as Prince from Minnesota) to a dot com launch of a company that doesn't exist anymore. To be honest, I am looking forward to this. Maybe I'll have something to say.
